What’s Normal? James was APPALLED at the new “Dress Normal” GAP ads. Last year saw TV’s The New Normal come and go in a flash and now we have more “Normal”? I was walking down 18th in Chelsea just the other day and stumbled across a new – store? I wasn’t sure WHAT it was. But I went inside to find out. They make custom, very cool headphones, molded to fit you ears. Apparently, Normal’s CEO and founder Nikki Kaufman (left) was tired of poor-quality earphones that didn’t fit and after going through dozens, she looked into having a custom pair made. $2,000, 3 weeks and a LOT of trouble later, she had an idea. As a founding member of Quirky, Nikki had the leading edge, technology-wise. And so was born Normal. Normal headphones are fully personalized for each user’s ear, engineered and 3D printed in New York City, and delivered in 48 hours along with an engraved carrying case – for $200. Not cheap, but if you add up all the $$ you’ve spent on those not-so-great headphones, it might be a deal. So, if you want to splurge for yourself, your bff or for a Wall Street Secret Santa, here’s one idea. Go here for more info.
