Who ya gonna call? Bridesmaids actors Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, and SNL cast stand-outs Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones are all in talks to star in Paul Feig’s all-female reboot of Ghostbusters. If it happens, it’ll be a reunion for McCarthy, Wiig, and director Feig, who all worked together on Bridemaids. Feig seemed to confirm the idea by posting the above on Twitter. McCarthy also co-starred with Sandra Bullock in The Heat, which Feig directed. He came on to revive this shelved franchise last August, and in October, The Heat screenwriter Katie Dippold had signed on to write the script. The original, all-dude Ghostbusters, which starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Harold Ramis opened over 30 years ago in 1984. The original is brilliant and the all-female cast has a missing element. Who’ll play “girlfriend” part, originally played by Sigourney Weaver? I’ve got an idea; Paul Rudd. Let’s hope this really happens! (via BuzzFeed)
