It was 25 years ago this month – !!!!! – that the stylish black-and-white clip for Vogue premiered. The lead single from Madonna’s I’m Breathless: Music from and Inspired by the Film Dick Tracy soundtrack was directed by David Fincher – whatever happened to HIM? – and paid homage to both the golden age of Hollywood and the emerging vogueing scene. The dancers all became instant sex symbols – and clubland superstars.
Two of them, Jose Extravaganza and Salim “Slam” Gauwloos, who today both teach dance, recently reunited in Los Angeles and filmed a short video tribute to the iconic video. How fun to watch them bring the old dance back to life. (via Queerty)
