Well this is promising! Word on the streets is that Zayn Malik has dropped his producer/Svengali Naughty Boy and gotten back in touch with his former 1D bandmates, hoping to mend their broken relationship.

After leaving One Direction, Zayn Malik entrusted producer Naughty Boy with the all-important task of launching his solo career. But the dream partnership seemed to fall apart yesterday as Zayn hurled a volley of online abuse at his mentor.
The singer, who quit 1D in March, tweeted: “@NAUGHTYBOYMUSIC you fat joke stop pretending we’re friends no one knows you.”
Industry sources close to the duo – known as Zaughty – say there had been problems behind the scenes for a while.
One said: “Zayn was very close to Naughty Boy when he left One Direction. But previously they had only spent the odd day together once a month in between his touring commitments. Now they were in each other’s company every day in the studio – and eventually drifted apart a few weeks ago. It’s a long time to spend with someone and the studio is a pretty confined space. Zayn is angry about the music that got leaked and blamed Naughty Boy. Zayn didn’t like not being in control. This has been the sparking point.”
All of which throws a monkey wrench into Zayn’s solo career… but bodes well for a reconciliation with 1D. From Hollywood Life:
“Zayn has spoken to Louis Tomlinson, 23, and the 1D boys in the past few weeks after realizing more and more that Naughty Boy was only out for himself,” an insider EXCLUSIVELY revealed to HollywoodLife.com. Thankfully Zayn started to see the light. Ever since he quit One Direction and started getting close to Naughty Boy, Zayn experienced more negativity than ever.
He even got into a Twitter fight with his once best friend in the group. “Zayn actually apologized to Louis for all the crap that went down,” the insider said of the singer’s emotional reunion with his musical mates. “Zayn wanted to reach out and make sure they all knew he was still their brother.” How very mature of him. It’s nice to know all that drama between Zayn and Louis is over and done with. Now everyone can go back to making music!
