In a weirdly not-funny-at-all interview with Extra, Kermit talks about the various factors that led to his breakup with Miss Piggy (they grew apart, they wanted different things), and as much as the interviewer keeps inappropriately guffawing, the conversation goes from depressing to glum to downright maudlin. It helps to keep reminding yourself THESE ARE NOT REAL PEOPLE as you watch it, and that this is all shameless marketing for the upcoming Muppets tv show on ABC. Still. I don’t know that I’m ready to see Kermit cavorting with “Denise the Pig.”
