Each year, MIX NYC, the organization that presents the MIX Festival, aka the NY Queer Experimental Film Festival, presents a very special fundraiser, the MIX NYC Naked Eye Celebrity Camera Auction. We give out hundreds of disposable cameras to celebrities in all sorts of fields – art, music, film, theater, TV, porn, fashion, and more. Celebs return the cameras to us and we auction them off on ebay starting May 12 – 22nd. The proceeds will help us present the 27th MIX Festival in the fall, and support the amazing work MIX does to help present and preserve important queer films, and teach at-risk youth filmmaking techniques so they can tell their own stories.
