The AquaDom is 82 feet tall and holds more than 1,500 fish. It has a glass elevator that runs up and down up through the center of the tank and it’s SO huge that it has to be cleaned by divers – pretty much continuously. This marvel is located at the Sea Life Center inside of a Radisson Blu hotel in Berlin and cost some $15 million. But it’s not anywhere near the world’s largest, that honor goes to the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. Where else? In China. The Guinness Book of World Records reports that it holds the records for
“largest underwater viewing dome, largest aquarium tank, largest aquarium window and largest acrylic panel,”
But it doesn’t have an elevator, as far as I know.
